A drunk driver was shot dead in Crimea while trying to escape from the police
In Crimea, the pursuit of a drunk driver by police ended in the death of the latter. This was reported by the regional department of the Investigative Committee.
According to the department, the patrol noticed a car near a store in the village of Blizhne, in which there were two men with obvious signs of intoxication. The police demanded to stop, but the driver stepped on the gas.
As a result, a chase began, during which the policeman first fired a warning shot, and then started shooting at the wheels. At some point, the car with the intruder lost control, crashed into a pole and rolled over.
It is noted that the driver died from a gunshot wound to the head — a bullet ricocheted off the car body and hit a 55-year-old man. His 48-year-old passenger received numerous injuries and was hospitalized.
The TFR began an investigation into the incident, a number of examinations were appointed.
