MOSCOW, May 2. In Ukraine, about 23 thousand people are considered missing as a result of hostilities, the interior ministry said on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, the Ministry of Reintegration of Ukraine announced that the country has earned a single register of missing persons.
«Tens of thousands of people (after the start of the special operation in Ukraine — ed.) were considered missing. actions,» the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
In mid-April, Oleg Kotenko, Commissioner for Missing Persons under Special Circumstances, stated that more than 7,000 Ukrainian servicemen were reported missing.
Earlier, the Ministry of Reintegration of Ukraine reported that the equipment for the selection and storage of DNA materials of the Ukrainian military to simplify the identification process has already been purchased, it is necessary to establish the process of selecting the material.
