MOSCOW, May 2. A parcel with objects structurally similar to weapons was found in one of the sorting centers of the Russian Post in the Moscow region, it was detained and handed over to law enforcement agencies, reported in the press service of the company.
«While checking the mail using specialized screening equipment in one of the sorting centers in the Moscow region, Russian Post security specialists identified a parcel with objects structurally similar to weapons. The mail was detained and handed over to law enforcement officials who arrived at the scene» , the message says.
It is noted that «the incident did not affect the process of processing and delivery of mail.»
The company also reminded that any type of weapon, including stun guns and spark gaps, weapon parts, explosive devices, narcotic substances, banknotes, perishable products, and more, cannot be sent in parcels.
