DONETSK, May 2. Ukrainian troops released more ten shells of «NATO» caliber 155 millimeters in two districts of Donetsk, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported.
«Fishes were recorded from the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (Armed Forces of Ukraine — ed.) in the following directions: 18.35 (coincides with Moscow time — ed.) — the settlement of Netaylovo — the city of Donetsk (Kuibyshevsky and Kirovsky districts): four shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters were fired; 18.50 — the settlement of Karlovka — the city of Donetsk (Kuibyshevsky and Kirovsky districts): six shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters were fired.
Kirovskiy district of Donetsk is located in the south-west of the city, adjacent to the Petrovsky district, which is the most distant from the city center, and which is regularly shelled by the Ukrainian security forces.
Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk is located in the western part of the city.
Artillery of 155 mm caliber is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Ukraine with long-range M777 howitzers of 155 mm caliber, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
