The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia announced the arrest of those who attacked CSKA basketball player Alexei Shved, giving a new round to the development of the scandal in the center of Moscow.
On Tuesday, CSKA announced that after the defeat in the decisive match of the VTB United League playoff semi-finals from the Krasnodar Lokomotiv-Kuban, Shved received a head injury as a result of a hooligan attack. The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the initiation of a criminal case on intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm (Part 3 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
According to CSKA President Andrey Vatutin, there is no threat to the athlete's life, but Shved was out of action for a long time.

Detention of suspectsOn Wednesday, the work of law enforcement agencies bore the first fruits. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the police reported the first detainees. «Three men were in a car near a shopping center on Pyatnitskoye Highway. They have now been taken to the police department for investigation,» Volk said.
One of the men said that he was detained for «a fight on the street near restaurant». He admitted that he was involved in the brawl.
Another person stated that «there was a verbal engagement with Alexei's wife», the basketball player stood up, after which «physical contact began» between them. “He… touched me, as it were, with his own hands, after which I took him by the jacket, cut him through my leg, he landed on the floor,” the defendant said.
He noted that after that, because of his back «came a blow to the Swede.» Who exactly struck the blow, did not specify, noting only that it was his comrade.
The third detainee said that he was in the police because of a fight at the restaurant. «There was a fight between my friends and a girl. A verbal skirmish took place, then turned into a fight,» he said.
The young guy added that the fight took place with the participation of men «who left the restaurant to help their girlfriend.» According to him, they were basketball players, and one of them was Alexei Shved.
On Wednesday, news about the athlete's condition also appeared. According to Vatutin, the Shved feels better, but it is too early to talk about the recovery time.
“An additional examination is being carried out, as a result of which a decision will be made on the further tactics of his treatment. Everything will be fine, but how long will the treatment take, I I can't say,» the CSKA president emphasized.
