MOSCOW, May 3. Kevin Costner's wife Christine Baumgartner filed for divorce from the actor, writes TMZ.
They were married for 18 years. It is unclear what led to the breakup. According to the tabloid, Christine is referring to «irreconcilable differences.»
«Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond Mr. Costner's control, he has to participate in the dissolution of the marriage. We ask that you respect the privacy of Kevin, Christine and their children,» the artist's representative said.
Celebrities have three common children — 12, 14 and 15 years old. According to TMZ, both Kristin, 49, and Costner, 68, are asking for joint custody.
The publication also indicates that Baumgartner does not request financial support after the divorce. Probably, as noted in the publication, a marriage contract was concluded.
Costner is an Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy winner. He participated in the projects «Bodyguard», «Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves», «Yellowstone» and others. He was previously married to Cynthia Silva, with whom he also has three children. The actor also has a son with Bridget Rooney.
