MOSCOW, May 23. Ballet dancer Sergei Polunin, who previously won the Russian Presidential Prize for Young Artists, received a high award from Russian President Vladimir Putin .
The ceremony of presenting state awards was held in the Catherine's Hall of the Kremlin. The artist received the award for his contribution to the development and popularization of domestic choreographic art.
In March, Polunin was unable to attend the award ceremony for young cultural figures for 2022, as he had the premiere of the play.
Then the president noticed his absence, calling him a young, but already recognized master who wrote his pages in the world history of choreography. He noted that Polunin himself actively supports young dancers, finds talents and helps them grow. //ria.ru/20221201/polunin-1835675267.html» data-title=»Sergey Polunin spoke about the departure of talents from Russia «>
