MOSCOW, May 25. Formula 1 Team Leader “Ferrari” Frederic Vasser has denied information about the negotiations on the contract with the seven-time world champion Briton Lewis Hamilton.
Earlier, the Daily Mail reported that Ferrari intends to offer a contract to the Mercedes driver for next season with a salary of $50 million.
“Two weeks ago the media sent (Carlos) Sainz to Audi, a week ago (Charles) Leclerc to Mercedes. You know very well that at this stage of the season there will be a new story every week. We did not send Lewis offer, we didn't do it, we didn't have negotiations. I think every team would like Hamilton,» Vasseur said, quoted by motorsport.com.
Hamilton is fourth in the drivers' standings this season with 56 points, ahead of both Ferrari drivers in the standings.
