MOSCOW, May 25. Russian President Vladimir Putin invited the participants of the EAEU summit to develop common priorities for technological development and create technological alliances with the involvement of third countries.
According to him, coordinated efforts are now in demand to strengthen technological sovereignty in the backbone sectors of the economy, to achieve true technological self-sufficiency.
“In practical terms, I would propose to agree on and implement common priorities for technological transformation and innovative cooperation, which would allow our countries not to depend on foreign technologies and companies in critical industries. Especially if we meet certain trends towards limiting cooperation with a number of countries in these industries. In the same context, it would be possible to think about creating Eurasian technological alliances with the involvement of interested partners from third countries,» Putin said during a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in an expanded format.
He noted that the purpose of such alliances could be the organization of new science-intensive high-tech industries on the territory of states.
