
MOSCOW, 2 Jun. Oppenheimer, a biopic about the creator of the atomic bomb, has been rated R, according to Deadline. That is, the picture is intended for an adult audience. Teenagers under 16 years of age are allowed to view accompanied by their parents.
This is Christopher Nolan's first project in 20 years to come out with this age limit. Previously, a similar mark was given to his film «Insomnia» with Al Pacino and Robin Williams.
The image of Robert Oppenheimer in the film was embodied by Cillian Murphy. Also involved are Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Gary Oldman and others.
The release of the film is scheduled for July 21, 2023.
It was previously reported that a new film with Ben Affleck will be shown in Russian cinemas.
