Court fined Tricolor service one million rubles for LGBT propaganda

St. Petersburg, June 2A court in St. Petersburg fined the National Satellite Company, which owns the Tricolor Kino and TV Online online cinema, 1 million rubles for showing a film with a lesbian scene, the joint press service of the St. Petersburg courts reported.
«The justice of the peace of the court district No. 59 of St. Petersburg brought to administrative responsibility NJSC «National Satellite Company» for committing an offense under part 2 of article 6.21.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The court imposed a fine of 1 million rubles «, — the press service reports.

It is specified that the Tricolor service showed the film «The English Barber» with the sign «16+», «containing a demonstration of non-traditional sexual relations — two heroes of the same sex (female) are depicted kissing in a sexual context.

According to the press service, the representative of the company explained that the society admits guilt, asked to take into account that he was brought to justice for the first time, the number of views of the film is only 53.

Also, the court brought to justice the editor of the ABC website «Tricolor Cinema and TV Online». She was fined 200 thousand rubles.
Part two of Article 6.21.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (dissemination among minors of information demonstrating non-traditional sexual relations) implies a fine for citizens in the amount of 100 thousand to 200 thousand rubles, for legal entities — a fine of up to 4 million rubles or suspension of activities for up to 90 days. The article was introduced into the Code of Administrative Offenses in December 2022.
