MOSCOW, June 5 Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov could not answer the question about the use by the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group in the Belgorod region of weapons supplied to Kiev by Belgium, his words are quoted by the Public edition.

"As far as is known, they (saboteurs. — Ed.) have already commented on this. In particular, with regard to captured or recaptured weapons, equipment or weapons,» he said.
Yusov noted that other issues will be duly commented on by the country's Ministry of Defense.
«Questions on the use of weapons should be raised directly to these structures (saboteurs. — Ed.), which operate autonomously on the territory of Russia,» the intelligence official added.
Today, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Croo instructed the special services to clarify the issue of the use of Belgian weapons in the Belgorod region by a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group. He recalled that there are “clear rules” for the weapons transferred by Kiev: they must be used “exclusively for defensive purposes on Ukrainian territory.”
The Washington Post on Saturday reported that the terrorists who attacked the Russian region in late May , used vehicles and weapons from the USA, Poland, the Czech Republic and Belgium.
In particular, they used rifles made in Belgium and the Czech Republic and at least one AT-4 anti-tank system, which is used by the armed forces of the United States and Western countries. According to information received by the publication from American mercenaries fighting in the post-Soviet republic, BREN and SCAR rifles are issued to the Ukrainian military and militants.
At the same time, Brussels emphasized that the weapons were intended exclusively for the use of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to «protect their territory and population.» According to the Belgian authorities, this «is expressly stated in the accompanying documents for each arms transfer.»
The Kingdom has previously reported deliveries to Ukraine of assault rifles for the SCAR Special Forces, US-made AIM-120 air-to-air missiles, M72 hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, anti-tank ammunition and locally produced automatic weapons. In addition, Belgium intended to send armored vehicles and trucks to Kyiv.
At the end of May, the Ukrainian DRG broke through the border and entered the territory of the Grayvoron district of the Belgorod region. Russian fighters of the Western Military District blocked and defeated the saboteurs, and their remnants were thrown back to the territory of the post-Soviet republic, where they fired at the militants until they were completely eliminated. In total, according to the Ministry of Defense, it was possible to destroy more than 70 terrorists, four armored vehicles and five pickup trucks.
According to the governor, a resident of the village of Kozinka was killed during the attack by saboteurs, and 13 more people were injured. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under six articles, including terrorism.
