MOSCOW, June 3 Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Party Chairman «United Russia» Dmitry Medvedev during a telephone conversation congratulated the leader of the Cuban revolution Raul Castro on his birthday and conveyed the best wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
«Dmitry Medvedev cordially congratulated Raul Castro on his birthday, wished him good health, prosperity and longevity. The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation noted that for many generations of the Cuban people Raul Castro is a symbol of the struggle for the ideals of freedom and independence of the country. In addition, he thanked Raul Castro for many years of fruitful cooperation and a great personal contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership between our states,» the secretariat of the deputy chairman of the Security Council told reporters.
Medvedev also conveyed congratulations and best wishes to Castro from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
