MOSCOW, June 5 . The director of the first season of «Vampires of the Middle Band» Anton Maslov will shoot the series «The Last Hero. Legacy», the press service of the project reported.
This is a sequel to the cult franchise about the son of Ilya Muromets, who pretended to be a magician, starred in a TV show, until he found himself in the fairy-tale world of Belogorye. 
The events in the show will unfold 20 years after the finale of the third film. Filming will start this summer. The TV channel «Russia», the online cinema START are working on the series.
“The viewer has already seen great fantastic stories — “The Lord of the Rings”, “Harry Potter”, “Game of Thrones”. Many talented ideas have been invented and implemented. It is not easy to fight them. «is to create, relying on our culture and fairy-tale worlds, something that did not exist. Therefore, I am very glad that we are getting authentic magic — what a Russian fairy tale is,» says Maslov.
Premier The franchise's first film took place in 2017. The next two films about the adventures of the hero and his friends were released in 2021.
Previously, it was reported about the filming of the spin-off of the project — the feature film «Finist. The First Bogatyr». The premiere of the film was scheduled for January 1, 2025.
