WASHINGTON Jun 8 a targeted disinformation campaign around the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station in an attempt by the US authorities to whitewash the Kiev regime, said Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov.
“There is a targeted disinformation campaign going on in the local media around the Kakhovskaya HPP. There are many insinuations that Russia allegedly blew up the most important infrastructure facility itself,” he said.
Antonov added that the US authorities built their rhetoric as if the Russian Federation «in any case is responsible for all incidents occurring during the Ukrainian conflict.»
«There is another desperate attempt to 'whitewash' the Kiev regime, which has been deliberately shelling the station for many months,» he said.
