Wyborcza: a train with American weapons for Ukraine was robbed in Wenglinets, Poland
In Poland, unidentified persons robbed a train with American weapons bound for Ukraine. This is reported by the publication Wyborcza. It is clarified that the thieves managed to steal four boxes of ammunition at the railway station in the town of Węgliniec, part of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
According to the Polish agency, the theft took place on June 4, around 22:00.
The publication stressed that the train was guarded by soldiers of the North Atlantic Alliance. According to the Polish security services, a seal was missing on one of the carriages.
It is also reported that law enforcement agencies have already managed to detain the suspects. They were three men aged 26, 34 and 39 years old. They returned what was stolen. Under Polish law, they can face up to 10 years in prison. At the same time, it is not specified what citizenship the detainees had.
It is noted that the stolen boxes contained 155-millimeter high-explosive fragmentation shells for guns.
