KRASNOYARSK, June 12 Four children were injured after gunpowder ignited in an abandoned building in Dudinka in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, according to the regional prosecutor's office.
«The Prosecutor's Office of the Taimyr District organized an investigation into the fact that four minors received bodily injuries as a result of the ignition of gunpowder. Currently, three minors are in intensive care, the fourth minor is in the surgical department,» the report says.
The department explained that the teenagers found gunpowder in an abandoned building in Dudinka, which had not been used for a long time. The building was destroyed, so the children had access to it. The gunpowder was expired — it expired in 1985. At the moment, raids are being organized to establish other ownerless buildings on the territory of Dudinka, in order to exclude access to them by minors.
The affected minors and their families are not registered with the organs of the prevention system and are safe, the prosecutor's office noted.
The regional Ministry of Health reported that one child is in a satisfactory condition, one is in a serious condition, and two are in a moderate condition. Three children are currently being evacuated to the burn center of the Regional Clinical Hospital. One child will stay in Dudinka.
