ST. PETERSBURG, June 13 The preparations for the SPIEF are being completed at the Expoforum in St. Petersburg, the design of the stands is nearing completion, a correspondent reports.
The guests of the forum are greeted by the stands of Uralkhim with a composition of fresh roses, the stands of Novatek, made of pipes and resembling a floating factory, as well as the stands of VEB.RF and Gazprom. The hero of the popular family film, Cheburashka, will also meet the guests of the forum at his stand in the form of huge ears.
At the stand of the Khabarovsk Territory, guests can see a suspended buggy «Erofey», the mass production of which has been established in the region. This light tactical all-terrain vehicle was specially designed for use in the NWO zone. Also at the booth of the Pskov region there was an all-terrain vehicle «Taktik», produced in the region by the company «Azimut». At the St. Petersburg stand, guests will be able to see the model of the car Lada X-Cross 5, its production will begin on June 14 at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg, which is now called «Lada St. Petersburg». Earlier it was reported that the production of two more new products will be launched at the enterprise within two years.
This year, Expoforum presents booths of new regions of Russia — the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, decorated in a very restrained manner. But the booth of Bashkiria is decorated using motifs of national ornaments and patterns. The Tambov region dedicated its stand to the composer Sergei Rachmaninov — this year marks the 150th anniversary of his birth. The family of the composer's father was from the Tambov region, and Rachmaninov often spent his childhood in the village of Ivanovka, which he often remembered later and where the museum-reserve named after him is now located. Also at the forum, the Russian movement of children and youth «Movement of the First» presents its stand.
