WASHINGTON, Jun 14 Former US President Donald Trump has collected over $2 million in donations following trial for improper possession of classified documents, reports CNN.
«Trump raised 2.04 million (dollars — ed.) at an event in the state of New Jersey after the court session,» the channel reports, citing its sources.
The day before, the ex-president took part in a federal court hearing in Miami, which formally charged him with 37 counts of improper possession of classified documents and obstruction of justice. Trump pleaded not guilty. That evening, he spoke to supporters in New Jersey.
Million donations to Trump's campaign fund were also reported when he was charged in New York: the politician raised more than $4 million in the first day, and $15.4 million in two weeks.
Trump faces 34 falsification of business records charges in New York in connection with payments to two women, including pornographic actress Stormy Daniels, for keeping quiet about their alleged affair. Trump denies these accusations.
