St. Petersburg, 15 June. An interdepartmental working group has been created to prepare design estimates for the restoration of the Mariupol airport, there is already an understanding of what resources and organizations will be involved, Acting Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
Earlier, the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, reported that the Mariupol airport could be used in 2024-2025, if the situation allows.
«An interdepartmental group has been organized under the government of the DPR for all necessary preparations, including design estimates for the restoration of the airport. On June 1, it already held a meeting at the Mariupol airport. Of course, there is an understanding of which organizations and resources will be used to restore the airport, as well as the runway, as it will be used,» Pushilin said, noting that the security organization plays a leading role here.
