Singer Monetochka was fined 30,000 rubles due to the lack of marking «foreign agent» in publications

The Basmanny District Court of Moscow imposed a fine of 30 thousand rubles on the singer Monetochka (Elizaveta Gyrdymova) under the protocol on the lack of marking in publications (part 4 of article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was reported by a correspondent of Mediazona from the courtroom.

The representatives of the performer did not attend the meeting.

The reason for the administrative case was that the musician on the morning of February 5, 2023 “allowed the distribution of material on YouTube without indicating the activities of a foreign agent. According to the materials of the case, we are talking about the video “A new interview with Mikhail and Sonya Shats”. The correspondent of Mediazona noted that the representative of Roskomnadzor Antonina Tarala could not say whether the video was deleted, but claimed that the video was published on the performer's channel.

In addition, entering the meeting room, Tarala noted that another protocol was drawn up against Gyrdymova. “Now we will hand over another protocol on it again. Now YouTube, then Telegram,” said the representative of Roskomnadzor.

The Ministry of Justice entered the performer in the register of “foreign agents” at the end of January this year. The department explained this decision by the fact that Monetochka «was raising funds in support of an unfriendly country — Ukraine» and «spoke out against a special military operation.»

A court in Moscow has already fined TV presenter Tatyana Lazareva 30 thousand rubles for journalist Tatiana Felgenhauer, Noize MC, and writer Dmitry Glukhovsky received similar fines at the end of May for not being labeled a “foreign agent”. Over the past month, protocols under Part 4 of Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses have been drawn up against sociologist Viktor Vakhshtein, Alisher Morgenstern, libertarian Mikhail Svetov, as well as deputy Daria Besedina and historian Tamara Eidelman.
