«Experts from the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries in Alexandria said a photo with one of the fishermen showed a newborn baby shark,» the statement said.

Specialists have noted that this is a shortfin mako shark (Isurus oxyrinchus). According to them, it does not pose any danger to the area.
Experts of the institute also said that the baby shark was caught more than three kilometers from the coast of the area, which is located parallel to Al-Max.
«Experts stressed that this species does not live in this area, but in deep places, and their presence during this period is natural, as sharks have a mating season, both in the Mediterranean Sea and in the Red Sea,» the statement said. .
