The Ministry of Justice declared director Vitaly Mansky, Pskov journalist Svetlana Prokopyeva, politician and chairman of the Pskov Yabloko Lev Shlosberg and the Free Yakutia Foundation to be «foreign agents», according to the agency's website.
Also added to the list » foreign agents» included the Magadan news site Vesma, economist and former deputy chairman of the Central Bank Sergei Aleksashenko, and Sever.Realii journalist Yulia Paramonova.
According to the Justice Ministry, Mansky opposed the war, «said about supporting the authorities of Ukraine”, “has spoken negatively” about the Russians, “identified Russia with Nazi Germany”, participated in the creation of materials of other “foreign agents”, received foreign money and does not live in Russia.
Prokopyeva, according to the Ministry of Justice, lives abroad, received support from foreign sources and opposed the war.
Schlossberg, according to the Ministry of Justice, also spoke out against the invasion of Ukraine and took part in the «creation and distribution of information materials of foreign agents to an unlimited circle of people», while Aleksashenko lives abroad and «participated as a respondent on information platforms provided by foreign agents and foreign media”.
The Ministry of Justice writes that the site «Very» and «Free Yakutia», «including the use of modern information technologies», spread «fakes» about the government. The agency noted that the “fund coordinators” live outside of Russia.
