BRUSSELS, June 19 NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that a just peace in Ukraine «cannot mean a freeze on the conflict.»
«We all want this war to end. But a just peace cannot mean freezing the conflict and accepting an agreement dictated by Russia,» he said at a joint press conference in Germany with Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
He reiterated that the alliance intends to support Kyiv «for as long as it takes.» «There is a counteroffensive (of Ukraine — ed.). The more territories they can liberate, the stronger their position at the negotiating table will be,» Stoltenberg said.
