The Central District Military Court in Yekaterinburg received two cases, the defendants of which are accused of treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code), participation in a terrorist community (Part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code) and committing a terrorist attack by a group of persons (Item “a” of Part 2 of Article 205 UK). Mediazona drew attention to the case cards.
The court registered the materials on both cases on June 13. The next day, one of them was scheduled for June 20, a meeting to extend the preventive measure, and for the second — for June 21, a meeting on the merits. The files in both cases do not include the names of the accused. However, it is known that several Permian neo-Nazis are being prosecuted under such articles.
In December last year, Mikhail Sokolov and Alexei Gashev were arrested in Perm. According to the FSB, they “on the instructions of the SBU carried out preparations for terrorist attacks and sabotage” in Perm and helped Ukraine with “destabilization of the socio-political situation in the region.” The agency claims that a wanted 23-year-old neo-Nazi Dmitry Strelkov.
According to the publication Nakanune, the reason for the criminal cases was that on the night of June 24, Permians threw several Molotov cocktails into the administrative building, which broke the window and charred part of the facade. As a result, Sokolov and Gashev were detained while trying to leave the Perm Territory, and then sent to a pre-trial detention center.
