St. PETERSBURG, June 19 Yandex has become a member of the electronic exchange of recyclable materials from the Russian environmental operator, said project manager Zaur Abdurahimov.
“Yandex has come to our site. It will also be one of the active participants,” Abdurahimov said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
He noted that the electronic exchange of recyclables «gaining momentum.» To date, more than 850 users are registered on the site, including processors, utilizers and regional operators.
The project leader noted that the participants of the exchange are such large companies as Sibur, Vkusno — i Tochka, Charter, Ecoline, Nevsky Environmental Operator and RT-Invest.
In September 2022, REO presented an electronic exchange of secondary material resources, where businesses can buy and sell recyclable materials, conclude deals on waste processing and compliance with recycling standards as part of extended producer responsibility. The exchange connects producers and buyers of secondary resources, allows businesses not only to solve the problem of accumulated production waste, but also to profit from it.
