Coast Guard ship and aircraft Canada has joined the search for a submersible of the American company OceanGate Expeditions, which lost contact during its dive to the site of the sinking of the Titanic.
The Toronto Star newspaper reported this information on Monday. According to the publication, the search operation is led by the US Coast Guard, since this area of the Atlantic Ocean is under the jurisdiction of Washington.

The wreckage of the Titanic, which sank on April 10, 1912 after colliding with an iceberg, is located at a depth of 3.8 km and at a distance of 600 km from the coast of the Canadian province of Newfoundland. They were only discovered in 1985. On board this liner, making its first flight from English Southampton to New York, there were 2,224 people, and 1,513 of them died.
