The Ministry of Justice declared scientific journalist Ilya Kolmanovsky, ex-candidate for the State Duma and associate professor of Moscow State University Mikhail Lobanov and one of the former heads of the Yukos oil company and ex-rector of the Russian State Humanitarian University Leonid Nevzlin as «foreign agents». This was reported on the department's website.
The list also includes Moscow City Duma deputy Yevgeny Stupin, St. Petersburg human rights activist and coordinator of the «Movement of Conscious Objectors» Alexander Belik, former deputy of the St. Petersburg municipal district «Vladimirsky» Vitaly Bovar, a researcher of Soviet repressions and human rights activist Robert Latypov.
In addition, the Movement of Conscious Objectors and the Action community center were declared “foreign agents”.
According to the Ministry of Justice, Lobanov and Stupin “took part in the creation of materials of foreign agents ”and opposed the war in Ukraine.
Kolmanovsky, according to the ministry, “spread false information” about the Russian government, identified Russia “with a terrorist organization” and “financed organizations that support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” Leonid Nevzlin also lives abroad, the department stressed.
