MOSCOW, June 23 Russian and Chinese film companies have agreed on joint production and concluded a number of deals at the international film market in Shanghai, the press service of Roskino reports.
“In mid-June, as part of the Shanghai International Film Festival, the SIFF Market film market was held, where Roskino, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture, organized a booth for the Russian film industry Russian Content Worldwide. Eighteen Russian companies presented 75 projects to international content buyers: feature films, documentaries, animation films and serials,” — says in a press release.
Among the significant results of the market is the agreement on the theatrical release of the full-length animated film «The Snow Queen. Defrosting,» Roskino noted.
As a result of negotiations, the film-catastrophe «Bullfinch» of the CTB film company is considered by a number of buyers in China. Interest was also aroused by the company's animation projects: new episodes of «Luntik» and its full-length version, new episodes of «Barboskins», the cycle of «Three Bogatyrs».
Art Pictures Distribution is finalizing a deal with China Mobile, one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world, on the film «Reversible Reality». Representatives of the company noted a great interest in military-themed content, in particular, in the STS series «The Last Battle», «Fog», the REN TV series «Sergeant». The Chinese platform Wing Sight has expressed interest in buying the films of the production company «Sreda» — «Major» and «Major in Sochi», and the drama «Tell her».
VGTRK holding noted the interest of Chinese content buyers in full-length films. Dramas «Elsa's Land», «Two Tickets Home», «Ivan Son of Amir», the military drama «We are from the Future» and the comedy «Russian Game» are being considered for purchase.
Concern «Mosfilm» noted the demand among Chinese buyers for a new film — the historical detective story «Khitrovka. The Sign of Four». Foreign representatives were also interested in the classics from the concern's collection, primarily military dramas. Chinese companies are interested in buying the films «Master and Margarita» and «Palma-2», the drama «Mira», as well as serial projects of the company «Mars Media Entertainment».
Earlier it was reported that Russia offered China to create its own analogue of the «Oscar».
