MOSCOW, June 25 Viktor Sheinis left a big political heritage, he remains a chronicler of Russian democracy, said Alexei Rybakov, chairman of the Yabloko party, and Grigory Yavlinsky, chairman of the party's federal political committee.
One of the founders of the party and co-author of the Constitution of the Russian Federation Viktor Sheinis died on Sunday at the age of 93.
«Everyone who knew Viktor Sheinis will never forget him. His scientific and political heritage is great, he was and will forever remain a political philosopher and chronicler of Russian democracy. The works of Viktor Sheinis are an invaluable contribution to the political history of Russia,» their joint commentary on the Yabloko website.
Politicians also noted that Sheinis «never changed his convictions» and until the last days followed current events. They also expressed condolences to his family and friends.
The Yabloko website also cites the words of the party's deputy chairman, Boris Vishnevsky. He noted that Sheinis was a bright, kind, intelligent and principled person and called him his teacher.
