MOSCOW, June 27. The press conference of German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock on the German TV channel Phoenix was interrupted by the speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the recording of the event was published on the YouTube platform. Instead, the Russian leader appeared in the frame, speaking on the Cathedral Square of the Kremlin. The video was made without off-screen translation into German. After some time, the broadcast was interrupted and never resumed.
Before switching to footage with Putin, the two ministers discussed the situation in Russia. In particular, Pandor noted that relations between Pretoria and Moscow were not affected by the Wagner PMC's attempted rebellion. She also stated that Pretoria is in favor of an early end to the conflict in Ukraine through negotiations between Russia and Kyiv.
Burbock, in turn, called the rebellion an internal affair of Moscow. But earlier she stated that she sees their «destructive consequences» for the system of Russian power, as well as «massive holes in Russian propaganda.»
The German Foreign Minister is in South Africa on a working visit, and communication with journalists took place in Pretoria.
On Tuesday, Vladimir Putin addressed the units of the Defense Ministry, the National Guard, the FSB, the Interior Ministry and the FSO and thanked them for ensuring law and order during an attempted armed rebellion over the weekend.
