The acting chairman of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow, Elena Lenskaya, sentenced media manager Ilya Krasilshchik to 8 years in a penal colony in absentia, a Mediazona correspondent reports from the courtroom.
In addition, the media manager is prohibited from «administering» sites for four years. The dyer was found guilty of spreading «fakes» about the Russian army motivated by political hatred (clause «e» of part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). The state prosecution requested 9 years in prison for him.
The Dyer himself left Russia. He sent the text of his last word to the court, it ended like this: “Since there is no logic and sense, then the wish is appropriate: I ask you to replace my punishment with a trip to Belarus, the village of Lyudenevichi, Gomel region. This is the former town from which all my family came from on my father's side. Those who did not come out were destroyed in 1941, the whole family, more than 10 people. They were killed by real fascists, not fictional ones. Just like you.”
A criminal case against Krasilshchiik was opened because of an Instagram post about the execution of civilians in the Ukrainian city of Bucha, as well as because of an interview on the Shepelin YouTube channel. The media manager was arrested in absentia and is on the wanted list.
