A protocol was drawn up against blogger Ilya Varlamov due to the lack of marking “foreign agent” in posts

The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow registered an administrative case against blogger Ilya Varlamov due to violations of the procedure for the activities of a “foreign agent”. Mediazona drew attention to the case file.

Varlamov is charged with an article about the absence of a “foreign agent” marking in posts (part 4 of article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). What kind of publications became the reason for administrative prosecution is unknown. A hearing on the blogger's case has not yet been scheduled.

Varlamov was added to the register of «foreign agents» on March 23. Pavel Chikov, head of the Agora human rights group, Ruslan Aisin, a Tatarstan political scientist, Bogdan Bakaleyko, a journalist, Svetlana Lada-Rus (Peunova), the founder of the banned Volia party, and the Boys Plus project, were included in the list along with him.

Earlier, the Golovinsky District Court of Moscow registered a similar case against Tikhon Dzyadko, editor-in-chief of the Dozhd TV channel. The date of the hearing on the journalist's case has not yet been set.
