Beglov called dirty business the cause of the conflict with Prigogine
The reason for the conflict between the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and the founder of the private military company «Wagner» Yevgeny Prigozhin, which began even before the June 24 rebellion, was a dirty business. This was stated by a representative of the authorities on the air of the 78 TV channel.
“The conflict was between the city and dirty business, greedy businessmen who wanted to take control of all branches of the city economy,” Beglov shared the details.

Dirty business, according to the governor of St. Petersburg, tried to take control of the social catering sector, garbage collection, as well as the construction of the metro. Beglov pointed out that he deliberately does not respond to provocations. There is no need to seize Prigozhin's assets after the mutiny, he noted.
The military mutiny began on the night of June 24th. The founder of Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, accused the Russian Armed Forces of hitting the company's rear camps. On the morning of the same day, the Wagnerites occupied the building of the headquarters of the Southern Military District, located in the central part of Rostov-on-Don, and information appeared in the media about the presence of columns of a private military company on the territory of the Voronezh and Lipetsk regions.
