Candidates for the post of governor of the Moscow region were obliged to disclose their income to the media

MOSCOW, June 28 All candidates Governors of the Moscow Region must publish in the media information about their income, as well as about property registered to themselves or family members, according to the calendar plan of events for the preparation and conduct of the election of the Governor of the Moscow Region, scheduled for September 10, 2023.

At the moment, five candidates are known to have submitted documents to participate in the elections. In 2023, information about the income of the current governor and other candidates for this post for the past year was not published in the public domain.
Decree on suspension of publication of officials' declarations was published on 29 December. The President introduced these requirements for the period of a special military operation. As Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the head of state, told reporters earlier, the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the ban on posting on the Internet and transmitting to the media data on the incomes of officials, which must be published under the law on combating corruption, applies only to those who work in new regions. In February, Putin signed a law on the publication of declarations of deputies and senators in an anonymized (generalized) form without personal data from March 1, 2023.
