MOSCOW, July 1 Starting today, all Russian banks are required to ensure the use of electronic certificates on Mir cards: on July 1, the relevant amendments to the law «On acquisition of certain types of goods, works, services using an electronic certificate.
An electronic certificate is a new way for the population to receive social support. This tool provides an opportunity to independently purchase certain types of goods, works and services at the expense of budget funds, if there are grounds for receiving state support measures in kind.
An electronic certificate is issued for the «Mir» card of any bank, and payment works similarly to operations using bank cards and allows you to instantly pay for individual types of goods if there are grounds for providing social support measures.
At the same time, systemically important banks had such an obligation even earlier: they were obliged to ensure the possibility of using an electronic certificate no later than January 1 of this year.
