MOSCOW, June 30 The Koptevsky District Court of Moscow ordered Zhilischnik Timiryazevsky District to pay about 80,000 rubles to the owner of a dog that was hit by a football goal on a sports ground, reported in court on Friday.
According to the case file, during a walk, a dog named Freya ran into a sports field, where a metal football goal fell on it, presumably from a gust of wind. The dog's leg was broken and required surgery and long-term treatment. The owner went to court demanding compensation for expenses, as well as to recover non-pecuniary damage.
A Zhilischnik representative objected, pointing out that the gate had fallen on a children's sports ground, where walking dogs is prohibited.

“Since no evidence confirming the absence of a causal relationship between the actions (inaction) of the defendant and the damage caused to the plaintiff was presented by the defendant during the consideration of the case, the claims of the plaintiff were satisfied,” they said in court.
As a result, the court ordered to compensate for the costs of treatment, but refused to compensate the owner for moral damage: «Animals belong to the property of an individual, in connection with which the defendant caused damage to the property rights of the plaintiff, with which there are no grounds for recovering moral damages. puma-1871921865.html» data-title='Sporting goods manufacturer Puma sued puma.ru domain from «animal lover»'>
