MOSCOW, June 30 The Children's Rights Ombudsman in the Russian Federation Maria Lvova-Belova turned to the head of the ICR Alexander Bastrykin and the Minister of Social Development of the Sverdlovsk Region Igor Morokov with a request to evaluate the activities of employees of the social policy department of the region in the case of the murder of a six-year-old boy taken under guardianship, the press service of the children's ombudsman reported.
«The Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, Maria Lvova-Belova, sent appeals to the Chairman of the TFR Alexander Bastrykin, the Prosecutor and Minister of Social Development of the Sverdlovsk Region, to evaluate the activities of officials of the Social Policy Department No. 25 of the Ministry of Social Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region in terms of organizing supervision of the activities of guardians ( trustees),» the press service of the Children's Ombudsman said.
The press service also said that they had sent a request to Igor Morokov, Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Sverdlovsk Region, to provide «comprehensive» data on the situation in the family of the deceased boy's guardians. The issue of life arrangement and protection of the rights of other minor children in this family remains under the personal control of Maria Lvova-Belova.
On Monday morning, the search began for a missing six-year-old boy who, according to his adoptive mother, left an apartment in a house on Simferopolskaya Street in Yekaterinburg in an unknown direction. On Thursday morning, the child's body was found in a bag in a metal garage. Anatoly Nadbitov, acting head of the RF SUSK for the Sverdlovsk region, said that the child died a few months ago, and his adoptive mother hid it.
