Earlier, a law enforcement source said that the prosecutor of Chuvashia drowned on Saturday afternoon during a swim on the Volga in Cheboksary. The Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov and the head of the republic Oleg Nikolaev expressed their condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased. However, they did not name the cause of Fomin's death.
