MOSCOW, July 4 Pensioner Nasib Huseyn ogly Gasanov became the sixth self-nominated candidate in the Moscow mayoral elections, thus the number of candidates increased to 12 people, according to the website of the Moscow City Election Commission.
As it follows from the data of the commission, 68-year-old Hasanov is from the village of Uzuntapa in the Ijevan region of the Armenian SSR, lives in Moscow, is a self-nominated candidate and a pensioner. Gasanov does not have the status of a foreign agent.
On Wednesday, June 14, the current mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, personally submitted documents for nomination to the Moscow City Electoral Commission. He was nominated by the United Russia party.
The party «Fair Russia — Patriots — for the Truth» nominated the first deputy chairman of the head of the faction Dmitry Gusev; Vladislav Davankov, Vice Speaker of the State Duma, is going to the polls from the New People party. The «Renaissance Party of Russia» nominated Sergey Zaletin, a leading specialist of the methodological and analytical department of the Yu.A. Gagarin Research and Testing Cosmonaut Training Center from the Moscow region. From the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Moscow City Duma deputy Leonid Zyuganov is going to the polls; and from the Liberal Democratic Party — Vice-Speaker of the State Duma Boris Chernyshov.
Three men nominated for the post of mayor of Moscow as independent candidates: one of them, 59-year-old Alexander Gorlov from Saratov, works as an electrician; companies, as well as the 43-year-old director of the charitable foundation Pavel Novikov. And two women — Zhanna Gorbacheva, 47, who is a municipal deputy in the Moscow district of Northern Tushino, she previously announced that she plans to withdraw her candidacy, and the general director of one of the Moscow companies, Alexander Tishchenko.
Single voting day in 2023 in Russia is scheduled for September 10. On June 8, at a meeting, the Moscow City Electoral Commission decided to hold elections for the mayor of Moscow within three days from September 8 to 10.
