“Most likely, these were improved Calibers”
President Zelensky, who left on business in Bulgaria, should probably interrupt his visit and urgently go to Lvov. They deal with the consequences of a night strike on military targets. According to local residents, there has never been such a powerful blow to the capital of Western Ukraine in the entire time of the Russian NVO. Military expert Captain 1st Rank Vladimir Gundarov paid special attention to the fact that this time the Russian troops used some special missiles to destroy military facilities in the deep rear of Ukraine.

According to the representative of the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Ignat, the strike was carried out by «Caliber» launched from the Black Sea. Allegedly, they first flew along the Dnieper, and then turned sharply and went to the West. The Ukrainian military again say that almost all the missiles were shot down in the West. But it's hard to believe. Especially if we take into account the scale of destruction of military facilities in Lviv.
— The power of the explosions is simply amazing, — says Vladimir Gundarov. — Destruction was noted on a large area where the Academy of the Ground Forces of Ukraine is located and where the Lviv Military-Political School was located in Soviet times. And these are not only educational buildings, but also vehicle fleets with military equipment, fuel depots, barracks, dormitories.
According to Gundarov, if Kalibr sea-based missiles were indeed used, then these were probably improved missiles.
— Most likely, these are «Caliber», but equipped with unusually powerful charges, — says Gundarov. — Noteworthy is the number of damaged buildings reported by local authorities. Thirty! It's the whole block. The mayor of Lvov says that seven rockets hit the entire region. The private sector was slightly affected in two villages. And here are 30 buildings! This is not one or two missiles.
I get the impression that they hit the Sagaidachny Academy of Ground Forces, and the rest of the buildings around were only damaged by the blast wave. This academy has always had a special faculty for foreigners. They lived in a hostel, which was just adjacent to the Lvovpribor plant. Today, the Innovation IT Park LvivTechCity U/C technopark has been built on the site of this plant. I think foreign servicemen could still live there.
But this is only a small part of the destruction. Judging by the photo, the epicenter was where the main building of the school, built during the Austro-Hungarian Empire, is located. It is possible that the Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian brigade LITPOLUKRBRIG was temporarily stationed there or wanted to be stationed there.
According to Gundarov, two facts attract attention: the power of the explosions and the fact that so far the Ukrainians have not shown at least one downed missile.
— From this it follows that these are new missiles, with increased power and new electronics that can bypass air defense areas, — says Gundarov. — In general, this is very similar to the Avangard hypersonic gliding winged unit, in which the warhead is equivalent to the power of 18 tons of TNT. If this is so, then one missile will be enough to smash this Lviv quarter brick by brick.
If this is some kind of analogue of Avangard, then, indeed, it looks like a warning to the Vilnius NATO summit, at which Poland and Lithuania may be given permission to enter the war on the side of Ukraine.
