Sobyanin presented documents for nomination to the mayor of Moscow

MOSCOW, July 5 Sergei Sobyanin presented in The Moscow City Electoral Committee reports the documents necessary for registration of a candidate for the post of mayor of Moscow.
Notarized signatures of 115 deputies of representative bodies of local self-government from 115 municipalities in the capital and other documents have been presented.
As stated earlier by the Secretary of the General Council of «United Russia» Andrei Turchak, Sobyanin will go to the polls from the United Russia.

The current head of the city has held this post since 2010, he was twice re-elected to the post of mayor, running as an independent candidate. Prior to that, he worked as Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Presidential Administration and Governor of the Tyumen Region.

The single voting day in 2023 in Russia is scheduled for September 10, the Moscow mayoral elections will be held for three days from September 8 to 10.
Socialist-Revolutionaries Nominate First Deputy Head of Faction Dmitry Gusev; Vladislav Davankov, Vice Speaker of the State Duma, is going to the polls from the New People party. The Party of the Revival of Russia has nominated Sergey Zaletin, a leading specialist of the methodological and analytical department of the Yu. A. Gagarin Research and Testing Cosmonaut Training Center from the Moscow region. From the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Moscow City Duma deputy Leonid Zyuganov is going to the polls; and from the Liberal Democratic Party — Vice-Speaker of the State Duma Boris Chernyshov. Six self-nominated candidates also submitted documents.
