MOSCOW, July 5 The precinct of the justice of the peace of the Zamoskvorechye district in Moscow registered an administrative protocol drawn up against Yandex CEO Artem Savinovsky for distributing information about LGBT people among children on the Internet, the court reported.
“The administrative protocol against Savinovsky under part 2 of Article 6.21.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation was registered by the court on July 5, the date for its consideration has not yet been set,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
The day before, a court in Moscow fined the KinoPoisk online cinema (owned by Yandex) one million rubles for a similar offense. This protocol was drawn up for the lack of marking «18+» on the films «Perfect Strangers», «Bridget Jones. The Edge of Reason», The English Barber, «Three More Weddings», «Greed», «Coupe Number 6» and «Tylda».
Under this protocol, citizens face fines ranging from 100,000 to 200,000 rubles, and officials from 200,000 to 400,000 rubles.
Savinovsky became CEO of Yandex in 2022 2008, he has held various positions in the company since 2008.
Earlier it was reported that the Tverskoy Court of Moscow fined Megafon TV 1 million rubles for the lack of marking «18+» on five films.
