MOSCOW, July 7 Ozon has so far vaccinated more than 550 employees of a warehouse in Yekaterinburg against meningococcus, and does not allow employees with signs of a cold to work, reported in company.
“Doctors are constantly at the facility who examine and vaccinate warehouse employees. If there are signs of a cold, they are not allowed to work. At the moment, we have already vaccinated more than 550 warehouse workers against meningococcus,” the message says.
The company added that they are in constant contact with Rospotrebnadzor and follow all the instructions of the supervisory authority to prevent further spread of the infection. They also reminded that disinfection was carried out at the warehouse, a mask regime and temperature control at the entrance are in effect.
On Wednesday, the Rospotrebnadzor department for the Sverdlovsk region reported that seven cases of meningococcal infection were registered among employees of the Ozon distribution center in Yekaterinburg, later the region's Ministry of Health reported an increase in the number of hospitalized workers to eight. According to the latest information from the regional Ministry of Health, two of the patients died, the causes of their death are being established.
After the death of two people, the Investigative Committee organized checks on each of the two indicated cases, the prosecutor's office took control of the epidemiological investigation.
