On Friday, the press service told the agency that the plant in Vladivostok will resume work on July 17 and will produce new pickup trucks, which are planned to be sold under the Sollers brand in Russia.
«Serial production and official presentation of new pickup models will take place in early September,» the press service said.
In the past, the joint venture between Mazda and Sollers in Vladivostok produced the Mazda CX-9, Mazda CX-5 and Mazda 6. The plant was closed in 2022. In November, Zoya Kaika, deputy general director of Sollers, said that the company plans to start production of crossovers of the middle price segment under the brand of new partners at the plant in Vladivostok. At the end of 2022, Sollers bought out the share of its Japanese partners in the enterprise.
