MOSCOW, July 6 Director Alexander Mitta's condition has improved, and now it is of moderate severity, he was transferred from intensive care to the neurological department, the Botkin hospital reported.
Since Monday, Mitta has been in the Botkin hospital, he got there in intensive care, his condition was assessed as serious. On Wednesday, his son Yevgeny Mitta said that the director should be discharged from the hospital next week.

Film director, actor, screenwriter, People's Artist of Russia Alexander Mitta was born on March 28, 1933 in Moscow. He graduated from the directing department of VGIK, where he was mentored by People's Artist of the USSR Mikhail Romm. The director's debut in cinema took place in 1961, when he directed the film ''My friend, Kolka!'' together with Alexei Saltykov. Mitta also made the films ''Shine, shine, my star'', 'The Crew', ''The Tale of How Tsar Peter Married Married'', the series ''Border. Taiga novel'' and others.
