«We discussed the situation of the Armenian population of Karabakh and the situation around the Lachin corridor. The current situation is clearly unstable, it does not meet anyone's interests … I stressed the need to open the Lachin corridor,» Michel told reporters after the talks.
He also noted Azerbaijan's readiness to deliver humanitarian goods through Aghdam. «I consider both options important. I call for the supply of humanitarian supplies from both sides to meet the needs of the population,» the head of the European Council said.
Last year, Yerevan and Baku, with the mediation of Russia, the United States and the European Union, began discussing a future peace treaty.
