Unilever answered a question about plans to Russify its brands

MOSCOW, July 17 Consumer goods manufacturer Unilever has no plans to localize its brands in Russia or otherwise change them, director of corporate relations and sustainable development told reporters Unilever in Russia and Belarus Irina Antyushina.
“We are one of the localized manufacturers… as of today, we have no plans to change our brands, and our main task is to continue working, to comply with the requirements of the law, to produce products for our consumer,” she said, answering a question about the company’s plans to Russify its products in the country.
In early July, Antyushina also told the agency that Unilever's factories and offices in Russia continue to operate to supply the country's domestic market.

Prior to this, the Ukrainian National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) reported that it had included the British Unilever in the list of international sponsors of the war due to the company's refusal to leave the Russian market. According to the national agency, the company promised to suspend all imports and exports of its products to and from Russia, as well as to stop all media and advertising spending. However, over the past year, Unilever Russia's profit has doubled from 56 million euros in 2021 to 108 million euros last year.

In March last year, Unilever announced the suspension of exports of its products to and imports from Russia, as well as the termination of investment in the country and spending on media and advertising.
Unilever was founded in 1930 as a result of the merger of the Dutch Margarine Uni and the British Lever Brothers. Currently, its portfolio includes approximately 400 brands represented in the markets of 170 countries. Among them are Lux, OMO, Signal, Impulse, Sunsilk, Timotei, Denim, Delmy, Dove, Rexona, Ax, Domestos, Knorr and a number of others.
