MOSCOW, 21 Jul. The Ukrainian command sent a fresh brigade into the battle in the Zaporozhye direction and immediately suffered losses, writes Forbes columnist David Ax.
“One of the brigade’s battalions tried to advance when several tanks were blown up by mines. <…> were prepared as reinforcements for those areas where advanced strike groups would be able to break through the Russian defenses. But the main forces of the Ukrainian army did not advance and suffered heavy losses, so Kiev had to use reserve units.
«Now we are seeing how the brigade, which was in reserve, takes part in the battles and also suffers losses,» the columnist writes.
A unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has already thrown a couple of its T-72 tanks, modernized by Poland and the Czech Republic, on the line of contact, concluded Ex.
