
MELITOPOL (Zaporozhye region), July 26 Police officers rescued a pregnant woman and children from a burning house in the village of Priazovskoe in the Zaporozhye region, a representative of the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs told reporters.
The department explained that the signal about the fire was received by police ensign Pavel Pityurenko, foreman Artem Shulga and senior sergeants Mikhail Savchuk and Dmitry Zinchenko.
«Arriving at the scene, they saw a woman and children in the windows of the burning house, who were trapped in a fire trap. The police broke the windows and helped everyone in the house get out through them. They were given first aid and handed over to the doctors, as the mother and one of the children received burns. The hostess also asked the employees to take out a bag with documents from the dwelling, and they, wearing gas masks, returned to the smoky room and fulfilled the woman's request, «said the representative of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The fire was later determined to have started due to an electrical short, the agency added.
